01:14 am - Holy joy of the Lord of Hosts!
My teacher extended the deadline of our 10 page paper from tomorrow at 8 AM to Thursday at 8 AM!
I just thought I'd share that joy with everyone.

Goodnight.

12:11 am - Foggy London Town
Foggy foggy Londontown is the place for me.
Trodding British soil all day long and having lots of tea.
And when the London eye doth blink, the town sleeps quiet and sound.
And when the sun shines on it's face it brings laughter all around.

Too all my friends. It's been way too long. I love you all.

10:06 pm - Middle America.
So I am stuck in Middle America, otherwise known as Missouri right now. It is a nostalgic journey, and a boring one at that. My dad is finishing up his month with Andy Williams and he'll be done in a week. I am going to be singing with him tomorrow on stage. That should be fun. "Country Roads" by John Denver. Beautiful song. Makes you take a minute to think about what you hold dear.
"Country Roads, take me home, to the place I belong. West Virginia, mountain mama, take me home country roads.
Life is old here, older than the trees. Younger than the mountains, softer than the breeze" ...i think those are the right lyrics...please dont smack me if i'm wrong.

Once again I am inspired by the writings of the beautiful Miss Ellyn Heald. I just love all of your posts Ellyn. Truly worth the read.

I am sitting here in a completely dark room. I cant see anything but the computer screen. What an interesting image. The air in Missouri is hot and thick. One almost has to push oneself through the invisible monster known as the air here. Not only thick with humidity, but also with memories and the smells of the South. I saw a lightning bug last night. My mom killed it. She kicked it out of mid air. I cant even remember the last time I saw a lightning bug. When we were kids, my brothers and I used to catch as many as we could and put them all in a jar and use it as a night light. Of course they were always dead in the morning, but it was a cute idea at the time. As I sit out here i think of back home in Malibu and how blessed I am to be there. Not only because of the beauty, but because there is actually stuff to do there. And i have my friends there as well. We dont usually do much, but the fact that we do nothing together is better than doing nothing alone. I have taken a liking to surfing recently but have had no luck with the waves. And a waveless ocean doesnt really compliment a surfboard's goals.

I am going to try to come out to PHX in about 2 weeks. For reals this time.
Can someone tell me when Honk is going to be playing? I would like to see it if I can :)

I am going golfing tomorrow. I dont golf. This should be interesting.

12:21 pm
The stage is lit up with bright colors. The audience is packed with eager fans from many years of loyalty. They are ready to see Andy Williams and Glen Campbell sing together to finish out the show with McCarther Park. A great song. The song begins flawlessly as Glen begins to serenade the audience. Soon it is Andy's turn to sing a verse. But as he begins, a loud thud comes from the on stage orchestra. The band slowly stops playing to peer over their tier's to see what happened. The music stops. The orchestra conducter has just had a major heart attack. There is silence throughout the theater. The curtain goes down. The conducter lies at the feet of the piano DEAD. "Is there a doctor in the house?!" someone cries. Two doctors and a nurse from the audience run up to the stage. The conducter has no pulse. He is not breathing. They miraculously manage to get him breathing again as the paramedics arrive to take him to the E.R.
The conducter was a chain smoker and a heavy drinker. His heart just stopped. Glen said, "His legs went stiff as a board and then he just fell over. " He hit his head on something. There was blood all over the stage.
Something like that can really put things into perspective.
Be thankful for all God's blessings, especially LIFE, the greatest blessing that God gave us other than free will and Christ. Dont take your life for granted. Any one of us could drop dead at any time.

Everyone take a moment to look up at the sky or anywhere around you just to see how amazing God is. Everything that God created is so wonderful. Sometimes you just have a moment like when the sky is so perfect and unique that you look up and just have to say, "Thank you God."
Count your blessings. And when you run out of existing numbers, you'll know just how awesome God is.

Oh, everyone, I discovered that I cannot come to PHX this coming week because some inescapable things have come up that I cant miss. But I will be making my way out there before June 27. So watch out! Bam!

Love and miss you all!

10:42 am - Sweeney
There's a hole in the world like a great black pit and the vermin of the world inhabit it and it's morals arent worth what a pig could spit and it goes by the name of London...

I just bought the Revival cast recording of Sweeney Todd (with patti Lupone and Michael Cerveris) it is amazing :) Everyone should buy it...and memorize it...and enjoy it...and caress it...

Also, I want to give a shout out to Ellyn Heald for being awesome in just about every way. We were reading Hamlet in my Great Books class and it reminded me of you...Ophelia...:)

I'm done with school in less than two weeks...it makes me happy :) So...hah to all you still in school haha!

Well i'm done gloating...back to Religion class..

03:51 pm - hmm...
THINGS YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW:

1. The world's youngest parents were 8 and 9 and lived in China in 1910.

2. Each king in a deck of playing cards represents a great king from history:
Spades - King David,
Hearts - Charlemagne,
Clubs -Alexander, the Great
Diamonds - Julius Caesar

3. 111,111,111 x 111,111,111 = 12,345,678,987,654,321

4. If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in
battle. If the horse has one front leg in the air the person died as a result of wounds received
in battle. If the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural ca uses.

5. 'I am.' is the shortest complete sentence in the English language.

6. Q. What occurs more often in December than any other month?

A. Conception.

7. Q. If you were to spell out numbers, how far would you have to go until you could find the
letter a ?

A. One thousand.

8. Q. What do bullet-proof vests, fire escapes, windshield wipers, and laser printers all have in
common.

A. All invented by women.

9. Q. What is the only food that doesn't spoil?

A. Honey

10. In Shakespeare's time, mattresses were secured on bed frames by ropes. When you pulled on the ropes the mattress tightened, making the bed firmer to sleep on. Hence the phrase 'goodnight, sleep tight'.

11 . It was the accepted practice in Babylon 4,000 years ago that for a month after the wedding, the bride's father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead he could drink. Mead is a honey beer and because their calendar was lunar based, this period was called the honey month or what we know today as the honeymoon.

12. In ancient England a person could not have sex unless you had consent of the King (unless you were in the Royal Family). When anyone wanted to have a baby, they got consent of the King who gave them a placard that they hung on their door while they were having sex. The placard had F**K (Fornication Under Consent of the King) on
it. Now you know where that word came from.

13. Last but not least: In Scotland, a new game was invented. It was entitled Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden and thus the word GOLF entered into the English language.

What you think was Hurricane Katrina, was actualy a series of minor sneezes from Chuch Norris.

When Chuck Norris gives you the finger, he karate chops your's off and throws it at you.

Chuck Norris once tried his hand at delivering babies in a hospital. However, when he pulled the babies out of the womb, he roundhouse kicked them instead of spanking them killing them not more than 3 seconds after being born. He still got paid and was made employee of the forever.

A barber once tried to shave Chuck Norris' beard off. Upon contact with the beard the razor blade was deflected with such a force that it sent a roundhouse-like shockwave up the blade through the barber's hand shaving the barber's face instead. Chuck then proceeded to roundhouse kick him in the face leaving him dead, but clean shaven.

11:58 am - Craziness is Dandy.
So, I was talking to Alex and Trent on AIM the other night. It's so crazy to think that we all had lives back in AZ, and now we are in completely different places with completely different friends and completely different lives. It's just interesting how life can change so drastically in such a little amount of time. I love this new chapter in my life because I am where I want to be, and I am doing what I dreamed of doing (or at least am doing what i need to do in order to do what I dreamed to do, haha). I freaking love California. I do, however , miss the awesome people i grew up with in Phoenix. But it's wierd, since my parents moved out here too, Phoenix isnt really my home anymore. It's just a place i lived. But it made me what I am now, and for that I love it. And I love all my friends there. Mwah.

I just started taking a sketch comedy writing class on sundays at ImprovLA. It's pretty cool. I hope it can help me with my writing. My improv classes at the Groundlings have been going really well and I am learning a lot. Improv is amazing. If any of you get the chance to see a professional improv show, i highly recommend it.

Classes at Pepp are going great, except my 8 am's (blah!)

I'm off to get lunch. mmm...food...

-Ashley

ps...I miss you Claudia!!!!!!!!!!
